Badges from Johnston Atoll

The following badges came out of the laundry at Johnston Atoll when the base was closed, pinned to the wall they give an idea o the units that passed through. This is one persons collection, other patches rescued before the base was demolished were kept by the USAF museum for their collection. These were removed from the wall where they were pinned and stapled, there is a letter of provenance with them as well as a letter from the USAF museum.

The Atoll was used during bomb trials and later for destroying chemical weapons, probably why there are such a mix of units.

This collection is for sale as a group, if you are interested make an offer, if you can identify the patches please lend a hand, I recognize a few, though some I have never seen in the colors they are here.
